Garrett Law started originating mortgages in the early 2000s when the industry was still largely paper-based and phone-driven. He found his calling early — not in the transactions, but in the conversations. Helping a first-generation homebuyer understand their options. Walking a veteran through a VA process that nobody had bothered to explain clearly.
In 2009, he earned the #1 VA Loan Originator ranking in the United States — not for a company, not for a region, but nationally among all individual loan officers. At peak production, he was closing over $25 million in loan volume per month. That kind of volume comes from one thing: referrals from people who trust you.
Mortgage Friend LLC was built on that foundation. The name isn't a tagline — it's a standard. Every client should be able to call their loan officer with a dumb question and get a straight answer. No jargon, no upsell, no runaround.
Today, Garrett leads a team of licensed loan officers in Las Vegas, serving buyers and homeowners across Nevada and 11 other states. He still closes loans himself. He still picks up the phone.
